Senior Marine Surveyor

Role Details

A globally recognized marine assurance and surveying company seeks a seasoned Senior Marine Surveyor to join their Dubai office. This high-responsibility role focuses on insurance and casualty inspections, ensuring compliance with international standards, and supporting clients in risk management. Candidates with a strong background in marine surveys, classification, or superintendent roles are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct insurance casualty, loss prevention, and warranty inspections, providing expert evaluations on Hull & Machinery (H&M), Protection & Indemnity (P&I), and Marine Warranty Surveys (MWS).
  • Lead pre-purchase inspections and condition assessments, providing detailed insights to clients on vessel integrity and compliance.
  • Oversee compliance audits (MLC, ISM, ISPS) and provide consultation on regulatory matters to ensure best practices across the fleet.
  • Prepare comprehensive survey reports, offering expert recommendations for maintenance, repairs, or corrective actions.
  • Maintain high professional standards and client relationships, ensuring a reputation of trust and excellence.
Qualifications
  • Master Mariner or Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (COC), with at least 5 years’ experience in marine surveying or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Superintendent, Class Surveyor, or in a senior shipyard role is highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in vessel inspection procedures, report writing, and familiarity with relevant maritime insurance protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to travel regularly across the Middle East.
