Port Agent – Rotterdam

Role Details

A prominent port agency with expertise across tankers, dry bulk, and cruise sectors is seeking a dedicated Port Agent to join their team in Rotterdam. Known for their high-quality service and commitment to operational excellence, our client is expanding their team to better support vessel operations and cargo management within one of Europe’s busiest ports.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all port and husbandry services to ensure seamless vessel operations, handling requirements from vessel booking with port authorities to organizing pilotage, towage, and waste management services.
  • Act as a liaison between vessel Masters, crew, and service providers to manage crew changes, medical appointments, and customs clearances.
  • Oversee documentation processes, including handling port call data, processing service invoices, and keeping cargo and sailing updates current for relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and utilize GATSHIP or other software to monitor and manage port calls effectively.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in port agency operations, with familiarity across tanker, dry bulk, or cruise sectors.
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Proficiency in port management software and comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license (Netherlands).
