A well-established international shipping group is looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join their Athens office. This senior role will oversee financial operations, enforce strong financial controls, and guide strategic planning for the company. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical finance skills and industry knowledge to support decision-making and enhance the company’s financial health.

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring full regulatory compliance and accuracy.
• Lead cash flow management, capital planning, and budgeting activities.
• Implement and enforce financial controls to manage risk and optimize the company’s asset structure.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership and provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives.
• Oversee a team of financial analysts and junior controllers, mentoring and fostering professional growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial control or finance management, ideally in shipping, logistics, or commodity trading.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proven track record in managing teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Excellent English language skills; Greek or other European languages are a plus.
